Sweet Cheeks Winery

Our story began in 1978 when Founder, Dan Smith planted a vineyard on a rolling hillside in Crow, Oregon. After a hard day of work, he looked over the vineyard and noticed the curious shape of the land and christened the vineyard Sweet Cheeks.

At this point starting a winery was only a dream. He continued to farm the land, supplying Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Riesling grapes to local wineries. When a building in Junction City came up for demolition in 2003 he took a chance and relocated it atop the vineyard. Thanksgiving of 2005 those doors opened as our tasting room and marked the beginning of Sweet Cheeks Winery & Vineyard.

Our passion is to create wines that reflect the beauty surrounding us in the Southern Willamette Valley. We believe in producing exceptional wines through gentle processing. Each vintage is unique and we invite you to experience it.

You can walk through our doors for a tasting flight led by our knowledgeable staff or pack a picnic to pair with your favorite glass of wine and indulge in the panoramic views from our outdoor or covered patios.
